The hottest June bring lots of happiness for Rafael Nadal and his fans just because he win the French open and it take him on first place in WTA ranking.

Rafael Nadal’s fifth title at the French Open, a year after he was disappoint in the fourth round  give him sufficient rankings points to move up from second place. He was ranked Number one for forty six weeks formerly, but was overtaken by Swiss legend Roger Federer in July 2009.

said after thrashing Robin Soderling 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 in French Open’s final. But the Spaniard also made entirely clear that he was more energized about winning his seventh Grand Slam title than his new ranking.

“When I was crying after the match,” he said, “the last thing I was thinking No1.” Toni Nadal, Rafael’s uncle and coach, agreed. “Being No 1 is very nice after the tournament,” “but the most key thing is the French open trophy. Toni Nadal said”

Rafael Nadal’s backing to the top spot brings and finish to Federer’s campaign of tying US legend Tennis star Pete Sampras’ career record of 286 weeks at Number One, Roger Federer, the Swiss player was just one week off the triumph. Roger Federer has won last year’s French Open, but he lost to Robin Soderling in the quarter-finals last week.

Swedish Robin Soderling’s second successive runner-up finish at Roland Garros open, he also was the player who amazed Rafael Nadal in 2009; allowed him to increase one place to a career-high at No 6. “This was most important for the rest of the season, to build a little bit of self-assurance and to be able to play better and better for every match.” said Magnus Norman coach of Robin Soderling.

The recent 2010 French Open also saw Andy Roddick rise one spot to seventh and reigning US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro slide two notches to eighth. He missed the 2010 French Open due to injury.
